Laboratory Analyst

About This Role

This role involves conducting physicochemical and sensory analyses of raw materials, in-process, and finished products, as well as maintaining laboratory records and ensuring compliance with quality assurance procedures. The analyst will also support the QA Supervisor in developing and enhancing laboratory systems and capabilities. It suits a licensed chemical technician with experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in food manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physicochemical and sensory analyses of raw materials, in-process, and finished products
• Record, analyze, and trend laboratory results; report deviations and quality concerns
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and ensure compliance with QA and laboratory procedures
• Assist the QA Supervisor in building and improving laboratory systems, methods, and capabilities
• Support the training of QC staff on laboratory procedures and good laboratory practices
• Ensure proper laboratory safety, cleanliness, and equipment handling

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field
• Licensed Chemical Technician (RChT)
• 1–2 years of laboratory, QA, or QC experience, preferably in food manufacturing
• Knowledge of physicochemical testing, sensory evaluation, and data analysis
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability
