About the role

Job Summary:

As a Labor and Delivery Nurse (LDRP), you will be responsible for providing care to expectant mothers throughout the labor and delivery process. You will work closely with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and healthy delivery of babies.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Monitor the progress of labor and assess the condition of both mother and baby
  • Administer medications and pain management techniques as needed
  • Assist with the birthing process, including delivering babies and providing postpartum care
  • Educate new mothers on newborn care and breastfeeding techniques
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers to develop and implement care plans
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Valid RN license
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Certification in Inpatient Obstetrics (RNC-OB) or a related specialty
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions
