Kitchen Porter/Kitchen Assistant

Job Title: Part-Time Kitchen Porter
Location: Star of Siam Thai Restaurant
Hours: Approximately 16 to 24 hours per week
Availability: Evenings and weekends required

Role Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Part-Time Kitchen Porter to join our team. The ideal candidate will support our kitchen staff by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with basic food preparation, and ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Wash, sanitise, and organise dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen and prep areas
• Assist with basic food preparation as required
• Dispose of waste and manage recycling in line with restaurant policies
• Support kitchen staff with general tasks to ensure efficient operations
• Follow all health and safety regulations

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a kitchen or similar environment is a plus, but not essential
• Ability to work evenings and weekends
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Physical stamina to handle cleaning and kitchen tasks
