About This Role
Managing the kitchen operations at Bubba's 33, this role involves overseeing all aspects of food preparation, presentation, and inventory. The Kitchen Manager ensures compliance with food safety standards and established recipes, while also leading and developing the back-of-house team.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and oversee the production and preparation of food in a manner consistent with established recipes and procedures
- Enforce compliance with all employment policies and oversee cleanliness of restaurant and safety of guests at all times
- Direct productivity to monitor and maintain efficient and effective food item ticket times
- Manage performance of Back of House employees, including conducting performance evaluations, coaching, and discipline
- Assist with the development of all key employees, assistant managers, and hourly employees by providing daily feedback on performance during one-on-ones
- Conduct formal line Taste & Temp checks as part of overall responsibility for inventory and safety in the kitchen
- Oversee the proper handling, maintenance, and storage of all items
- Understand, manage, and practice safe food handling procedures
- Manage food costs, tracking waste, and controlling kitchen labor costs
- Direct work for Back of House employees, including setting hours and weekly schedules, and assigning tasks before, during and after open hours of the restaurant
- Train Back of House employees on equipment maintenance and cleaning procedures
- Review applications, interview, and hire or make recommendation to hire Back of House employees
- Create a safe, fun, and clean work environment for the staff in a manner consistent with our core values and operational goals
