Duties

• Assist with meal preparation by chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients efficiently and accurately
• Support chefs and kitchen staff in food handling, cooking, and plating to ensure timely service
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
• Follow food safety standards and proper hygiene practices to uphold health regulations
• Help with food storage, labeling, and inventory management to minimize waste and ensure freshness
• Prepare ingredients for catering events or daily menu offerings under supervision
• Serve food to customers or staff in a courteous manner while maintaining excellent customer service standards

Experience

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
• Basic knife skills and familiarity with cooking techniques are advantageous
• Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures is desirable
• Experience in meal or food preparation within the food industry will help you excel in this role
