About This Role
This role involves creating and implementing lesson plans for children aged 2-3 years old, focusing on their holistic development. The Kindergarten Teacher will provide a safe and nurturing environment, use positive discipline, and assess children's progress while collaborating with parents and colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that focus on social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of students aged 2-3 years old
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and discovery
- Use positive discipline techniques to promote good behavior, respect, and a positive attitude among children
- Observe and assess children
- Work closely with parents, guardians, and other teachers to support each child
Requirements
- Possess at least Diploma/Advanced Diploma/Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Relevant experience working with toddlers, preferably in a preschool or childcare setting
- Knowledge of child development theories, best practices in early childhood education, and language acquisition principles
- Ability to create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with parents, guardians, and other teachers
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with young children
- Basic computer skills for maintaining records and documentation
