About This Role
Creating unique and playful artwork for kids' clothing collections is the heart of this role. The Kidswear Illustrator will join a creative team to bring adorable ideas to life, focusing on original illustrations and designs that resonate with children.
Responsibilities
- Create original illustrations, characters, motifs, and artwork for kidswear.
- Develop fabric prints, patterns, and textile designs based on the brand concept and collection theme.
- Create artwork for clothing, including all-over prints, placement prints, and graphic designs.
- Develop seasonal and trend-relevant design concepts for kids.
- Adapt and revise illustrations based on creative direction and feedback.
- Prepare final artwork/files suitable for fabric printing and production.
- Collaborate with the design and product development team to ensure artwork fits the garment and collection concept.
- Research current trends in kids fashion, colors, characters, illustrations, and patterns.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Illustrator / Graphic Designer, preferably in fashion, kidswear, textile, or FMCG.
- Strong illustration skills with a good understanding of color, composition, and visual storytelling.
- Able to create cute, playful, fun, and age-appropriate artwork for children.
- Good understanding of textile prints and repeat patterns is a plus.
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop or similar design software.
- Able to create both hand-drawn and/or digital illustrations.
- Understand basic color separation, print specifications, and production-ready artwork.
- Creative, detail-oriented, and open to feedback.
- Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Portfolio is required.
