Job Title: Solar PV Technician (Solar Power Plant) Location: Project Sites / Solar Power Plant Locations

Qualification: ITI (Electrician / Wireman / Fitter / Electronics or related trade)
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar PV Technician with a minimum of 2 years of experience in solar power plant installation, operation, and maintenance . The candidate will be responsible for installation, electrical works, testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities to ensure safe and efficient operation of solar PV systems.
Key Responsibilities Installation & Assembly
- Install and assemble module mounting structures and solar PV modules as per project drawings.
- Carry out module-to-module wiring and DC string connections.
- Ensure proper alignment and secure fixing of solar panels and associated components.
Electrical Works
- Perform DC and AC cable laying, routing, termination, and connection activities.
- Support inverter, transformer, SCB/JB, and other electrical equipment installation.
- Execute string combining, cable dressing, and electrical interconnection works.
Testing & Commissioning
- Conduct insulation resistance, continuity, polarity, and voltage tests.
- Verify string open-circuit voltage (Voc) and system performance parameters.
- Assist in commissioning and synchronization activities of solar power plant equipment.
Operation & Maintenance
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of solar PV systems.
- Clean PV modules and inspect plant equipment to ensure optimum energy generation.
- Identify and troubleshoot faults in modules, cables, inverters, and associated electrical systems.
- Monitor system performance and report abnormalities.
Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to all site safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company HSE standards.
- Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures during maintenance activities.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure a safe working environment at site.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of solar PV system installation and maintenance.
- Understanding of electrical wiring, cable termination, and testing procedures.
- Ability to read electrical drawings, layouts, and single-line diagrams (SLD).
- Familiarity with testing instruments such as multimeters, insulation testers, and earth resistance meters.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for solar plant equipment.
Eligibility Criteria
- ITI in Electrician, Wireman, Fitter, Electronics, or related trade.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in utility-scale solar power plant installation, commissioning, or O&M activities.
- Willingness to work at project sites and travel as required.
- Physically fit to work in outdoor site conditions.
