contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a **Junior Engineer - Component

Engineering** located in Chennai What a typical day looks like:

  • Enter and maintain component data and manufacturer information & approved vendor lists in global component database.
  • Create a component database for all the Electrical/Electronic & Indirect materials Quality review of the component parameter attributes from datasheets.
  • Validate MPN and provide Alternates
  • Monitor Component EOL and manage the component obsolescence Part of a cross-functional team in implementing product component changes within the Company
  • Work closely with Engineering and materials teams to review product updates / modifications
  • Respond to Business Partner (requestor) and customer on queries relating to Component specifications
  • Ensure adherence to targets set for all Process Metrics
  • Ensure timely generation and circulation of reports / dashboards.
  • Train new and existing team members on an ongoing basis on relevant tools or topics.
  • Perform root cause analysis to expedite the resolution of service issues.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement operational efficiencies to drive continuous improvement in the execution of procurement processes
  • Prepare Customized reports for analyzing and incorporating improvements in processes.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • B.E(ECE/EEE/E&I) graduate with (0-2) years of experience as a Component Engineer in Manufacturing set up, preferably in EMS industry
  • Flexible to work in night shifts.
  • Hands on experience in the following domains
  • NPI (New Product Introduction)
  • BOM (Bill of Materials) Management
  • Semiconductor sourcing/Analysis
  • Working Knowledge of ERP, preferably BAAN
  • Hands on Experience in any PLM software
  • Should have good Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Power Point & Word skills
  • Command over oral and written skills in English
  • Good analytical skills, logical thinking, Coaching & mentoring skills.
  • Should be open for shift
