Junior Accountant

About This Role

This accounting position supports daily operations, cash and bank management, tax compliance, and financial reporting for an automotive manufacturing company. The role is based in Subang Jaya, with occasional travel to Tanjung Malim, and is suitable for a detail-oriented and motivated individual, including fresh graduates.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting transactions, including receipts, payments, invoices, and journal entries using SAP
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Verify supplier invoices and maintain accurate financial records and supporting documents
• Assist in preparing cash flow plans, expense reports, and budget variance analysis
• Support fixed asset verification, inventory monitoring, and cost tracking
• Assist in preparing SST returns, withholding tax documentation, CP204 instalment calculations, and other tax-related schedules
• Maintain and update Form CJ(01) records for SST-exempted items
• Assist with annual budgeting, financial reporting, and audit preparation
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions
• Maintain proper filing and archiving of accounting documents in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Travel to the Tanjung Malim site when required to support accounting operations and coordinate with relevant teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 0–2 years of relevant accounting experience; fresh graduates are welcome to apply
• Basic knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations, including SST, withholding tax, and corporate income tax
• Familiarity with SAP accounting systems is an advantage
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and basic accounting principles
• Understanding of bank reconciliation, financial documentation, and internal controls
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and willingness to learn
• Able to work independently on routine tasks and collaborate effectively with different departments
• Willing to travel to Tanjung Malim when required

Important Details

• Work locations: Subang Jaya, Selangor (primary workplace); Tanjung Malim, Perak (occasional business travel, potentially once a week)
