Junior JavaScript Developer (Onsite) Looking to launch your software development career? Our client, a respected educational/public sector organization, is seeking a Junior JavaScript Developer for a long-term onsite contract opportunity with excellent benefits, and long-term career stability.
This is an excellent opportunity for recent Computer Science graduates or aspiring developers with hands-on experience and a portfolio of programming projects.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain web applications using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Work with databases and assist with data-related development tasks
- Apply fundamental programming concepts and data structures
- Support application enhancements, testing, and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with technical and business teams on project initiatives
Required Skills
- JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Basic knowledge of database design and theory (SQL experience preferred)
- Understanding of fundamental data structures
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Qualifications Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (recent graduates encouraged to apply)
OR Option 2: Minimum 1 year of professional development experience with a portfolio (please provide GitHub link on resume) demonstrating JavaScript, SQL, HTML, and CSS projects. Candidates without a degree will be asked to showcase and discuss their work.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-4:00 PM (35 hours/week)

Compensation: $35-$39/hour (W2) depending on level of experience
