This role involves handling a range of residential plumbing tasks, including troubleshooting, installing, and repairing plumbing systems. You will diagnose issues, execute repairs and installations, and ensure that all work meets high-quality standards and local codes. Responsibilities
Diagnose problems and failures in plumbing systems and equipment
Determine whether repairs or replacements are needed for customers
Install and assemble plumbing systems and equipment, including valves, pipe fittings, and pipes
Perform installation, maintenance, and repairs on water and gas systems, pipes, fittings, and components
Test for leaks using compressed air and/or water to ensure functionality and safety
Repair and maintain plumbing systems by replacing washers, mending burst pipes, and clearing clogged drains
Manage the inventory of plumbing supplies in the vehicle, including checking stock, placing orders, and verifying receipts
Keep equipment and tools operational by following manufacturer
-s instructions and established procedures
Maintain safety equipment
Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
Journeyman Plumber license required
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial systems
Valid driver
-s license and clean driving record
Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications
Expertise in installing, maintaining, and repairing water, gas, and sewage systems
Familiarity with local and state plumbing codes and regulations
Experience with various tools and equipment, such as pipe cutters, threaders, and soldering tools
Ability to diagnose complex plumbing issues and recommend effective solutions
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers, team members, and supervisors
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials, working in confined spaces, and handling tools for extended periods
In-depth knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service, with a focus on professionalism and customer satisfaction
Basic knowledge of mobile apps and work management software to track tasks and report on job progress
Ability to lead apprentices, work well within a team, and coordinate with other trades on larger projects
