About This Role
This full-time, permanent position is for an experienced Journeyman Electrician to join a commercial and industrial electrical team. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various project environments.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in commercial/industrial environments
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Use power and hand tools safely and effectively
- Troubleshoot electrical systems using ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools
- Work alongside other trades to ensure timely project completion
- Upgrade and renovate existing electrical systems to meet code requirements
- Maintain a safe, clean work environment
- Install/repair EMT, PVC, and rigid conduit
- Install PVC conduit embeds (new construction)
- Install/repair cable tray systems
- Install/repair receptacles, lighting fixtures, disconnects, pushbutton stations
- Wire single-phase and three-phase motors and devices
- Run wire and cable through trays, conduits, and raceways
- Prepare daily job material lists and complete required paperwork
- Coordinate work with team members, owners, and engineers
- Supervise and train apprentices
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years journeyman-level industrial electrical experience
- Strong knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documents
- Proficiency with standard electrical tools and equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- "Maintenance mindset" with focus on efficiency and quality
- Comfortable operating scissor lifts and boom lifts
- Must be safety-focused and able to pass drug testing
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
