Journalist

About This Role

This role is for a journalist responsible for gathering information of public interest and sharing it with the audience across various platforms, including television and the web.

Responsibilities

• Gather information through observation, investigations, interviews, and other methods
• Verify the accuracy of collected information
• Write texts reporting the collected information
• Classify and read news bulletins and information capsules
• Edit reports
• Participate in or host public affairs programs
• Perform any other related tasks required by a superior

Requirements

• College diploma or undergraduate university degree in an appropriate discipline
• Fluency in oral and written expression and adequate vocabulary
• Driver's license for an automobile
• Knowledge of journalism principles and techniques
• Three years of relevant experience
• Professional qualification recognized outside the school or university network (certificates, permits, courses, membership in a professional order or association, etc.)
• French spoken and written - High
• 1 to 2 years of experience
• Diligence and punctuality
• Ability to establish and maintain interpersonal relationships
• Judgment and decision-making skills
