Position: Javanese Language Expert

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $45 - $95/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10 40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

  • Translate and localize documents, content, and communications involving Javanese with cultural and contextual accuracy.
  • Conduct linguistic reviews and quality assurance to ensure high language standards.
  • Provide expert guidance on Javanese language nuances to support project teams.
  • Develop, edit, and proofread written materials in Javanese.
  • Contribute to the creation of glossaries, style guides, and language best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate remotely with global teams to support project execution and communication.

Requirements

  • Native-level proficiency in Javanese with strong knowledge of regional dialects and variations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Javanese and English.
  • Strong experience in translation, localization, or linguistic quality assurance.
  • Deep cultural understanding of Javanese-speaking communities.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
  • Proficiency with digital collaboration tools and language software.
