Job Description
We are looking for a Technology Manager to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-scale applications. This role combines technical leadership, team management, solution architecture, and delivery ownership to build scalable, secure, and high-performing digital solutions. The ideal candidate is an experienced engineering leader with strong expertise in Microservices, Cloud (AWS/Azure), and Agile delivery, capable of guiding distributed teams while partnering closely with business and technology stakeholders.
The Role
Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership
- Lead solution design, architecture reviews, and technical decision-making.
- Drive best practices in software engineering, code quality, security, and performance.
- Guide teams in developing cloud-native applications, APIs, and microservices.
- Mentor engineers and technical leads on architecture, design patterns, and modern engineering practices.
- Delivery Management
- Manage end-to-end delivery of multiple projects and releases.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to prioritize work and meet business objectives.
- Track delivery progress, dependencies, risks, and resource utilization.
- Ensure timely, high-quality delivery within scope and budget.
- Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop engineering teams
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Support hiring, performance management, and career development initiatives.
- Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary technical liaison between engineering teams and business stakeholders.
- Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to leadership.
- Build strong client and cross-functional relationships.
- Engineering Excellence
- Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and enterprise architecture standards.
- Promote continuous improvement through metrics, retrospectives, and innovation initiatives.
Requirements
- 12-15+ years of software engineering experience.
- 3-5+ years leading engineering teams and technical delivery.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Java, Spring Boot,
- Microservices, REST APIs,
- AWS and/or Azure Cloud,
- SQL/NoSQL Databases,
- Kafka or Event-Driven Architectures,
- Containerized services,
- CI/CD and DevOps practices,
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments,
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
