About This Role
This role is for a motivated Java Developer with 1-3 years of hands-on experience in backend application development using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices. The position involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining applications within an Agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot
- Develop, integrate, and maintain RESTful APIs and Microservices
- Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Work with relational databases and write efficient SQL queries
- Participate in requirement analysis, design discussions, development, testing, and deployment activities
- Troubleshoot application issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement fixes
- Develop unit tests using JUnit and Mockito
- Use Git for version control and participate in code reviews
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, business analysts, and cross-functional teams
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and follow established coding and security standards
Requirements
- 1-3 years of relevant software development experience
- Strong knowledge of Core Java, including OOP concepts, Collections, Exception Handling, and Java 8+ features
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework
- Understanding of Microservices architecture and distributed applications
- Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle
- Experience with JUnit and Mockito for unit testing
- Familiarity with Git, Maven, or Gradle
- Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts and application deployment
- Knowledge of JSON, HTTP/HTTPS, and API integration
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively in an Agile development environment
