**Java Full-Stack Developer
New York City / Weehawken NJ (100% onsite** **)
W2 contract** Job Description We are seeking a skilled Java Full-Stack Developer with strong experience in React to join our development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable web applications using Java-based backend technologies and modern frontend frameworks. Candidate will collaborate with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and other developers to deliver high-quality, secure, and user-friendly software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build responsive, reusable, and high-performance user interfaces using React.js.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Work with relational and non-relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or MongoDB.
- Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop unit, integration, and functional tests to ensure application quality.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based deployments where applicable.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 9+ years of professional experience in Java development.
- Strong knowledge of Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience building applications with React.js.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience developing and consuming RESTful web services.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.
- Experience with SQL databases and database design.
- Familiarity with Git and modern software development workflows.
- Knowledge of unit testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, Jest, or React Testing Library.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with TypeScript, Redux, React Hooks, or Next.js.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of application security best practices.
