About the role
Job Summary The Enhanced Client Verification Team is looking for a Sr Specialist, Software Development and Engineering with experience with application development in Java to work within a dynamic Agile Scrum Team to design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-performance Java based web services that support business critical integration projects. The role will require a strong work ethic, leadership, problem solving skills and the ability to partner with business and technologists across the organization. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading application teams to successfully building and supporting enterprise web applications. The role will require a high level of responsibility and accountability yet has a support structure necessary for development growth.

Responsibilities
- Implementation of new features ensuring they align with best practices, Client standards and project goals.
- Writing well designed, clean, maintainable, testable, efficient code using Springboot framework.
- Optimizing existing systems for performance, scalability, resiliency, and security.
- Collaborating with various cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Analyzing and investigating problems with software solutions and document the results of their investigation(s).
- Perform maintenance of software and correct defects that have been identified during the maintenance process.
- Mentoring junior developers by sharing knowledge and providing technical guidance.
- Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing to ensure quality deliverables.
- Staying up to date with emerging technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field with 4+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on Java and related frameworks
