Role & responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled Java API & Microservices Developer with strong experience in designing, developing, and deploying scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices Architecture, and cloud-native development practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and Microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services.
- Develop and consume APIs for integration with internal and external applications.
- Implement Microservices architecture patterns, including service discovery, API gateway, circuit breaker, and distributed tracing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following coding standards and best practices.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews.
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure application security, reliability, and scalability.
Required Skills
Technical Skills
- Strong experience in Core Java (Java 8/11/17).
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA.
- Expertise in RESTful API development and integration.
- Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture.
- Experience with Hibernate/JPA.
- Knowledge of API Gateway, Service Discovery (Eureka/Consul).
- Experience with Kafka/RabbitMQ messaging systems.
- Experience with SQL databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL.
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB is preferred.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.
- Hands-on experience with Git version control.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Good to Have
- Experience with Spring Cloud components.
- Knowledge of OpenAPI/Swagger.
- Exposure to Redis/Caching solutions.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk.
- Understanding of OAuth2, JWT, and application security best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in enterprise application development.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices patterns.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced Agile environment.
- Strong debugging and performance tuning skills.
