This janitorial role involves maintaining cleanliness and safety across facilities by performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks efficiently and professionally. Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers
• Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning processes, following all chemical handling safety procedures
• Conduct custodial tasks including trash removal, dusting, window washing, and sanitation of surfaces to ensure hygiene standards are met
• Assist with minor maintenance tasks such as repairing fixtures or painting walls in residential or commercial settings
• Operate cleaning machinery and tools effectively while maintaining equipment in good working condition
• Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting and manual handling activities to prevent injuries
• Support facilities maintenance activities as needed to ensure the overall upkeep of the premises

Requirements

• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles within commercial, industrial, or residential environments
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and custodial equipment operation
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely according to safety protocol guidelines
• Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks required for cleaning supplies and equipment
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and safety compliance
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
• Customer service skills are desirable for roles involving interaction with building occupants or clients
