Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our facilities maintenance team. Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures and using appropriate protective gear.
- Conduct floor care activities including buffing, polishing, stripping, and sealing to preserve flooring integrity and appearance.
- Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting restrooms, kitchens, and high-touch surfaces regularly.
- Assist with light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting touch-ups, and ensuring facilities are in good working order.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously during all cleaning operations to prevent accidents or injuries related to heavy lifting or manual handling.
- Support overall facilities maintenance efforts by reporting any hazards or repair needs promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and proper use of cleaning equipment.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely by adhering to chemical handling safety procedures.
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks while practicing safe lifting practices.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Customer service orientation with a friendly attitude towards staff and visitors.
