About This Role
Joining the team as a Janitor involves maintaining cleanliness and order across various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role suits a dedicated and detail-oriented individual with a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, emphasizing quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming in designated areas
- Maintain floors through buffing, waxing, and polishing to ensure a clean appearance
- Conduct residential painting as needed to enhance the aesthetic of the facilities
- Carry out commercial cleaning duties in offices, restrooms, and common areas to uphold hygiene standards
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks to ensure all equipment is functioning properly
- Handle industrial cleaning responsibilities in designated areas while adhering to safety protocols
- Serve as a porter by managing waste disposal and recycling efforts throughout the premises
- Respond promptly to any cleaning emergencies or special requests from management or staff
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or needs for replenishment
Requirements
- Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and waxing is a plus
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and industrial cleaning standards is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards consistently
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
