IT Specialist

About This Role

This IT Specialist role involves owning the operational IT for Nova, ensuring all employees have the necessary tools from day one and maintaining a secure environment for sensitive patient data. The specialist will be the system owner for the Microsoft environment, reporting to the CTO and supported by a part-time IT assistant.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and terminate accounts, groups, and permissions in Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, including MFA, conditional access, and admin accounts
• Ensure new employees have accounts and computers ready on day one, and that access is closed and equipment returned on the last day
• Manage Mac, Windows, and mobile devices in Intune, purchase standard models, and maintain an inventory list linked to individuals
• Be responsible for security with Defender, tightened login rules, DNS filtering, as well as backup and recovery
• Administer mail and shared mailboxes, Teams, permissions in SharePoint and OneDrive, and licenses
• Be responsible for network and Wi-Fi in the offices, as well as mobile subscriptions and the switchboard
• Handle support cases together with the IT assistant
• Be the contact point for IT suppliers, negotiate agreements, and manage purchases

Requirements

• Post-secondary IT-related education
• Several years of experience in IT operations or IT administration, preferably in a Microsoft 365 environment
• Practical experience in administering Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint
• Experience managing Mac computers in Intune or another device management tool
• Basic knowledge of networks: Wi-Fi, firewall, and DNS
• Fluent in Swedish and good English in speech and writing

Nice to have:

• Microsoft certifications, such as MD-102, MS-102, or SC-300
• Experience from healthcare or other operations with sensitive personal data, where you have worked according to patient data law or GDPR
• Experience with Apple Business Manager or Jamf
• Automated work with PowerShell or Power Automate
• Previously been the sole IT manager or part of a small IT team in a growing company
• Familiarity with using AI tools in your own work
