Duties
Duties and Responsibilities: This position is located in an information management organization. Its purpose is to function as the technical specialist on issues relating to the wide area network (WAN) and local area network (LAN) systems and their integration in the network. The work involves network administration, optimization and performance in support of the state's wide area command and control integrated network. Configures network devices and works any connectivity assignment. Strives to enhance network optimization through installs, configurations and software packages. Utilizes remote software tools to maintain, update and configure protocol and user/system files. Tracks any and all changes to protocols and user/system files. Analyzes and evaluates the effective performance of network devices. Resolves problems with conflicting and/or incomplete information. Performs other duties as assigned. Maximum Grade: O4/MAJ
Military Compatibility Requirements: Selected candidate is required to be assigned to a compatible military unit and MOS/AFSC in accordance with TPR 303. OBR: 25, 53 WMOS: 254A, 255A/N/S

Minimum Requirements: Experience that has provided a knowledge of IT principles, concepts and methods that include data processing functions and general management principles that allow you to understand the stages required to automate a work process.
Specialized Experience: Must have at least 36 months experience planning tasks necessary to complete assignments which require coordination with external agencies and personnel to collaborate and accomplish projects. Experience preparing and documenting cost/benefit analysis with summarizing the material and organizing it into a logical manner. Experience planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish an assignment where interaction and coordination with external directorates or organizations. Experience that required adaptations of guidelines or precedents to meet the needs of the assignment.
