About the role
Job Title: IT PC Technician
Duration: 6 Months Contract with possible extension
Location: Blacksburg, VA 24060 (Onsite)
Schedule: 1st Shift
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and support endpoint software.
- Deploy PC equipment and accessories.
- Provide guidance and explain policies and procedures to end users.
- Troubleshoot end-user PC, network, printing, and application issues.
- Diagnose, research, and resolve routine end-user technical issues.
- Escalate issues to the appropriate support teams after troubleshooting and documenting progress in the ITSM tool.
- Provide day-to-day Level 2 operational support for end users.
- Maintain detailed documentation in the ticketing system, including incidents, service requests, troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and relevant dates and individuals involved.
Required Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of proven experience in a customer support role involving technical knowledge of products, services, and IT systems.
- Experience installing and configuring computer systems and applications.
- Strong, disciplined, and systematic problem-solving skills.
- Effective time-management skills with the ability to establish and meet resolution deadlines.
- Experience using service desk software such as Bomgar and other remote desktop support tools.
- Experience supporting Windows and Mac OS operating systems.
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; IT-related coursework or certifications are a plus.

- CompTIA Network+ (Net+)
