IT Manager

About This Role

This role involves the strategic and managerial responsibility for the entire IT function of an Italian industrial company, which is known for its innovation and strong market presence. The company is investing in strengthening its digital ecosystem with advanced solutions based on Microsoft and Artificial Intelligence, offering a dynamic environment for professionals who want to combine strong technical operations with a clear path to Project Management.

Responsibilities

• Define IT Strategy and Roadmap: Align the technological vision with the company's strategic priorities, defining the evolution of architectures and systems in the medium to long term
• Lead and Guide the Team: Coordinate and develop the IT team (4 area specialists); define objectives, assign priorities, balance workloads, and monitor departmental performance
• Govern the Project Portfolio: Oversee strategic and digitalization programs (ERP migration to Business Central Cloud, Dynamics 365 Field Service, system integration, and SharePoint architecture development)
• Lead AI Adoption and Automation: Promote and coordinate the experimentation and integration of Artificial Intelligence solutions and process automation to support business efficiency and the Innovation/After-Sales area
• Budgeting and Cost Control: Prepare, manage, and monitor IT budgets (CapEx and OpEx), evaluate the economic sustainability of business cases, and authorize departmental expenses
• Vendor and Contract Management: Negotiate contracts with technology partners and application/infrastructure providers, managing strategic relationships and any economic or contractual escalations
• Cybersecurity, Governance, and Compliance: Oversee information security, risk analysis, and compliance with process and product regulatory requirements (including NIS2, Cyber Resilience Act, and AI Act frameworks) in coordination with external consultants and the Cybersecurity Committee
• Executive Relations and Reporting: Constantly interface with the CEO, Top Management, and Functional Managers to translate business needs into technological initiatives, ensuring periodic reporting on project progress, risks, budgets, and service levels (SLA)

Requirements

• Proven experience in structured corporate environments or complex industrial settings
• Vision and Strategy: Ability to translate business objectives into scalable technological strategies, ensuring process governance and system alignment with business needs
• Leadership and People Management: Aptitude for leading human resources, with the ability to motivate, organize, and develop a team of technical specialists
• Strong Expertise in the Microsoft Ecosystem: Solid architectural and strategic understanding of Microsoft platforms (Dynamics NAV / Business Central Cloud, Dynamics 365 Field Service, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, SharePoint, M365 Security/Identity) and their integration with adjacent corporate systems and applications (e.g., Zucchetti, Modula, CRIBIS)
• Leadership in AI Adoption and Innovation: Strategic vision and experience in directing Artificial Intelligence adoption projects (AI agents, automations, Microsoft AI/Copilot tools) applied to operational processes and business
• Cybersecurity and Compliance: Knowledge of corporate information security principles and oversight of main regulatory and compliance frameworks (NIS2, Cyber Resilience Act, AI Act, privacy/DPIA)
• Executive Presence & Soft Skills: Communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interface with Top Management and General Management, along with strong change management and complex problem-solving abilities
