The IT Intern will support the IT department in providing technical assistance, troubleshooting, and systems support to ensure the smooth operation of the organization's technology infrastructure. This role is designed to give the intern hands-on experience in IT operations, system maintenance, and user support, while contributing to ongoing IT projects.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Provide first-level technical support to employees (e.g., password resets, system access, basic troubleshooting).
- Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computers, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Help monitor system performance and report issues to IT staff.
- Assist in updating and maintaining IT documentation, inventory, and logs.
- Support ongoing IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, or security initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures, including data security and confidentiality.
- Research and recommend improvements in tools, processes, or technologies.
About you
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking concepts.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and common productivity tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
