About the role
You will join the API Mavericks team at our client. The team drives developer enablement by providing clear API standards, reusable integration components, and easy-to-use tools that help internal and external developers quickly build and manage high-quality APIs.
Tasks and Responsibilities
As an IT Engineer within the API Mavericks team, you will play a key role in designing and building integration platforms in line with architectural standards and development guidelines. Together with your team, you will also design and develop internal data models that underpin integration capabilities across the organization.
You will design, develop, test, version, and monitor APIs to ensure reliable and high-performing integrations. You will work across the full development lifecycle, building and maintaining applications.
Beyond delivery, you will actively contribute to the continuous improvement of Agentic AI Implementation standards and guidelines within the bank, ensuring new patterns are designed in the right way. As MCP is the first Agentic AI Integration pattern we are implementing, you will play a pivotal role in shaping its success.
Hard Skills
Must haves
- Proven hands-on experience implementing MCP & APIs in Agentic Integration context in a corporate environment, with the ability to apply it within enterprise standards, governance, and integration practices
- Strong experience in Java 17 (or higher), with the ability to design, build, and maintain scalable services
- Expertise in API Design and Strong API build hands-on experience with Spring Boot/ Spring ecosystem
- Extensive hands-on experience with Azure services: App Services, Functions, Azure DevOps and Azure SQL
- Extensive hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling, including setting up, optimizing, and maintaining end-to-end deployment workflows
- Strong understanding of data models and system integration patterns, with the ability to design robust and scalable integrations
Nice to have
- Experience with AI assisted software development with Github copilot or equivalent
