About This Role
As an IT Consultant at Jones IT, you will engage in a variety of tasks and projects, primarily involving client interactions. You will listen to client issues, document them, and coordinate timely resolutions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, is patient, and eager to learn.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with their support requests and ensure issues are resolved or escalated appropriately.
- Diagnose and resolve desktop, software, and network problems related to functionality, connectivity, management, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with the Jones IT Team to share experiences, tools, and information to enhance efficiency and teamwork.
- Document solutions and procedures for future reference.
Requirements
- Ability to absorb new knowledge and apply it to solve problems.
- Strong collaboration skills in a team environment.
- Sensitivity to clients' needs and ability to develop warm client relationships.
- Capability to explain technical issues to non-technical individuals in simple language.
- Good written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Some knowledge of operating systems, desktop applications, email clients, and basic networking.
Nice to have:
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar role.
- College degree.
- Customer service experience.
- Familiarity with desktops, laptops, Macs, email, cloud services, malware/virus removal, and basic networking preferred.
