IT Consultant

About This Role

This IT Consultant role involves auditing, advising, and examining clients, primarily savings banks, in information security, business continuity management (BCM), data protection, and emergency management. The position requires frequent interaction with clients, both on-site and remotely from a home office, and suits a candidate passionate about IT security who enjoys independent work and is willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Audit, advise, and examine clients (primarily savings banks) in information security, BCM, data protection, and emergency management
• Support regular clients in maintaining up-to-date information security through qualified process support
• Advise clients on implementing regulatory requirements and create concepts for this purpose
• Conduct audits as an auditor, considering functional separation and independence, for clients in the aforementioned areas
• Share knowledge by holding seminars and lectures at conferences, writing articles, or creating tools and templates
• Generate new ideas and consulting offers within the team

Requirements

• Completed degree in Business Administration, Economics, Business Informatics, Computer Science, or a comparable qualification, e.g., Sparkassen-Betriebswirt:in, Bankkauffrau/-mann, or Fachinformatiker:in
• Good knowledge of ISO 270xx, BSI IT-Grundschutz, MaRisk, DORA, SITB / RiMaGo, or GDPR; not deterred by regulatory requirements
• Professional experience or experience in delegated roles (ISB, NFB, DSB), combined with basic auditing knowledge and initial experience in internal auditing (IT auditing) within the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe
• High affinity for IT and passion for information security
• Strong preference for independent work and willingness to travel
