IT Business Analyst

About This Role

Aligning IT systems with business goals and driving positive change are the primary concerns of this Business Analyst role. You will gather feedback and insights to inform the decision-making of departmental leaders, focusing on digital transformation. The role suits a professional with strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a forward-thinking and adaptable mindset.

Responsibilities

• Gather feedback from various sources to inform departmental leaders' decision-making
• Conduct business process modelling
• Create clear documentation, including sequence diagrams and data models
• Craft test scenarios
• Define the needs of others and evaluate existing processes
• Identify long-view business strategies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a relevant equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT consulting, development, or infrastructure
• Fluency in English and French (both written and spoken)
• Knowledge and experience of functional analysis techniques and testing strategies
• Knowledge of Agile project methodologies, especially Scrum
• Experience with tools such as JIRA for issue and project tracking
• Knowledge of modeling languages such as BPMN and UML
• Experience working with structured data formats like XML
• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with DevOps practices
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with backend development languages (e.g., Java, Python, .NET)
