IT Auditor

About This Role

This IT Auditor role involves leading audits focused on IT governance, regulatory compliance, and IT risk management. The position ensures alignment with industry frameworks and strengthens the organization’s IT control environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform IT audits covering governance, cybersecurity, infrastructure, applications, ERP systems, and IT operations
• Review and evaluate IT policies, standards, and procedures for adequacy, effectiveness, and compliance
• Assess IT governance, risk management, and internal controls using COBIT, ITIL, and ISO 27001
• Evaluate IT general controls (logical access, change management, system development, backup/recovery, disaster recovery)
• Identify control weaknesses, risks, and inefficiencies; recommend corrective actions
• Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and validate effectiveness
• Prepare audit programs, risk assessments, working papers, and reports
• Maintain complete and organized audit documentation
• Present findings and recommendations to management and process owners
• Coordinate with MIS and other business units during engagements
• Assist in preparing and executing the annual IT Audit Plan
• Evaluate compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies (including the Data Privacy Act of 2012)
• Ensure adherence to internal audit standards and IT governance frameworks
• Safeguard confidentiality and integrity of audit information and company data
• Report significant control deficiencies and risks to the Internal Audit Manager
• Assist in external audits, regulatory reviews, and special investigations
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and IT risk management activities
• Attend training programs related to IT audit, cybersecurity, governance, and compliance
• Perform other tasks assigned by the Internal Audit Manager or Management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Information Systems, IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Internal Audit, IT Audit, IT Risk Management, IT Compliance, or IT Governance
• Strong knowledge of COBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001, IT governance, risk management, and information security principles
• Solid understanding of ITGCs, internal controls, audit methodologies (IIA, ISACA), and the Data Privacy Act of 2012
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, report writing, and presentation skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
