IT Auditor

About This Role

This IT Auditor role involves conducting audit missions for IT and information security, supporting the enhancement of audit programs, and contributing to the development and timely review of these programs. The position suits a professional with a background in information systems or computer science, with a focus on risk-based testing and coordination with audited entities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct audit missions in accordance with agreed-upon audit programs and methodologies and within the agreed-upon timeframe for IT and information security
• Support in providing suggestions and recommendations for updating audit programs with the aim of enhancing their effectiveness and overall coverage
• Contribute to developing and updating audit programs for various departments, actively participate in their timely review and approval, and drive an acceptable implementation rate for audit recommendations
• Provide the necessary data to prepare the annual plan for the Internal Audit & Inspection Division
• Assist in preparation of the audit mission's plans to identify strengths and weaknesses during the preparation phase under the supervision of the IT Audit Supervisor
• Conduct agreed-upon risk-based tests effectively and efficiently on the audited units by collecting sufficient, documented, and appropriate data and evidence to reach reasonable conclusions about the control environment of the audited entity
• Coordinate with the management of the audited entity during internal audit missions for data and documents needed
• Obtain sufficient and convincing evidence supporting the audit findings and recommendations
• Prepare draft audit findings, discuss them with the mission's Supervisor, before their discussion with the audited entity
• Ensure effective coordination with Planning & Follow up and Quality Assurance teams to accomplish the internal audit overall objectives in accordance with the Internal Audit & Inspection Methodologies
• Participate in facilitating the IT Audit that is outsourced to an external company
• Contribute to preparing periodic reports stating the progress of accomplishing the audit plan, and any obstacles that may hinder the achievement of objectives
• Support in providing suggestions to strengthen Methodologies for IT Audit with the aim of improving the control environment at the audited entities
• Support in enhancing performance and updating audit programs to comply with the Internal Audit & Inspection Methodologies, CBE regulations, Global Internal Audit Standards and any related instructions related to the Internal Audit & Inspection functions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field
• 0-3 years of experience in IT Audit Field
• Excellent command of English and Arabic languages (written & spoken)
• Good familiarity with the internal audit methodology according to risk degree, as well as the best practices in the field of internal audit
• Good familiarity with the bank's internal policies and procedures
• Good analytical thinking skills and awareness of the risks surrounding the bank's business
• Mature level of objectivity
• Good strategic awareness

• Strong planning and organizing skills
• Good team player
• Excellent business acumen of external market and up-to-date market trends and practices

• Experience within the Banking Industry
