This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of connected products, lead enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives, and build the platform foundation that enables innovation at scale.

Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), the Engineering Leader will own the strategy, architecture, engineering execution, and organizational leadership of the company's Global IoT Platform.

The role is accountable for delivering a unified, secure, scalable, and reusable platform spanning:

• Connected Devices

• Edge Computing

• Connectivity Services

• Cloud Platforms

• Data Management

• Platform Services

• Security & Governance

In addition, this leader will build and develop a high-performing global engineering organization capable of supporting long-term business growth and digital innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise IoT Platform Strategy

• Define and own the enterprise IoT platform vision, strategy, and roadmap.

• Align platform investments with business objectives and long-term growth priorities.

• Establish a clear technical vision and reference architecture across device, connectivity, cloud, data, and platform domains.

• Develop and manage a multi-year platform roadmap balancing:

• Scalability
• Security
• Performance
• Innovation
• Cost Optimization

• Lead technology selection decisions including build, buy, and partnership strategies.

Platform Engineering & Architecture

• Lead the design, development, and evolution of a global enterprise IoT platform.

• Ensure platform capabilities are scalable, resilient, secure, and reusable across multiple business units and geographies.

• Drive architectural consistency and interoperability across products and solutions.

• Establish engineering standards covering:

• Architecture
• Software Quality
• Reliability
• Cybersecurity
• Data Governance
• Regulatory Compliance

• Oversee platform lifecycle management, operational excellence, and service reliability.

Cloud & Data Platform Leadership

• Define cloud-native architectures supporting IoT workloads and enterprise-scale deployments.

• Lead development of data ingestion, processing, storage, and analytics capabilities.

• Ensure the platform can support:

• Real-Time Data Processing
• Device Telemetry
• Predictive Analytics
• Digital Services
• AI-Enabled Applications

• Enable data-driven decision making through scalable platform services.

Cybersecurity, Governance & Compliance

• Establish security-by-design principles across all platform layers.

• Ensure compliance with enterprise cybersecurity standards and industry regulations.

• Lead strategies for:

• Establish leadership succession plans and capability-building programs.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in:

• Related Technical Discipline

Experience

• Extensive experience leading large-scale:

• IoT Engineering Organizations
• Cloud Platform Teams
• Platform Engineering Functions
• Enterprise Technology Organizations

• Proven success delivering globally deployed technology platforms.

• Experience building and scaling enterprise engineering teams.

• Strong background in:
