Investment Banking Division - Analyst, Investment Banking

About This Role

This Investment Banking / Global Capital Markets professional role is based in Mumbai and provides deal execution support, prepares marketing materials, conducts research and analytics, and offers internal process support to various teams. The successful candidate will gain exposure to financial markets, macro trends, and banking sectors, with opportunities for global internal mobility for high performers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare presentations, analyst presentations, and company profiles
• Perform financial analysis, including financial metric benchmarking, capital structure analysis, firepower analysis, and its interpretation
• Perform company valuation, including developing financial models and relative valuation
• Gather and synthesize financial and operating information about companies, industries, and governments to analyze performance and drive strategic client dialogue
• Develop industry / macro market landscape, including key themes / trends, economic indicators, and competitive landscape
• Maintain and update databases leveraged by senior management and deal teams
• Generate presentations and memoranda for a wider senior audience within the firm
• Perform other administrative tasks to support overall deal flow and business

Requirements

• MBA / CA / Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
• 1 - 3 years of work experience in a related field
• Keen interest in corporate finance / capital markets
• Written competency and spoken language fluency in English
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with global teams
• Strong analytical and numerical skills and are at ease with financial data
• Agility and ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with a strong work ethic and motivation to learn
• Ability to manage expectations and handle high-pressure situations
• Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Nice to have:

• Programming and coding experience / knowledge of AI tools
