Investment Banking Analyst

About This Role

An Investment Banking Analyst analyzes financial statements, creates financial models, and performs industry and company research. This role assists in creating marketing and buyer/investor presentations, drafting offering memoranda, and identifying prospective buyers and investors, focusing on mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance.

Requirements

• Experience with valuation methods including discounted cash flow, comparable companies (public), and comparable transactions (M&A)
• Strong interpersonal relations skills
• Highly-motivated, ethical individual willing to take initiative in a fast-paced but rewarding deal-making environment
• At least one full-time investment banking internship or one year of experience in a related field such as private equity, corporate finance, accounting, quality of earnings, and/or banking
• Deep familiarity with accounting, finance, marketing, business, and economics concepts, with particular emphasis on financial accounting and financial statement analysis
• Advanced proficiency in Excel
• Strong analytical ability
• Solid oral and written communication skills including experience drafting PowerPoint presentations
• Minimum GPA of 3.5 from a top-tier university
• Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university
