Investment Banking Analyst

About This Role

An Investment Banking Analyst is sought to identify, engage, and secure investors for opportunities on Pairs, a global network of family offices, institutional investors, VCs, and angels. This early-career role involves working directly with co-founders and the investor team, focusing on investor conversations and understanding capital commitment readiness.

Responsibilities

• Qualify investor lists based on stage, sector, check size, and recent activity for each opportunity
• Initiate first conversations with personalized messages and convert replies into calls
• Book qualified investors into meetings with founders, providing necessary context
• Maintain accurate records of all conversations, meetings, and outcomes

Requirements

• Worked as an analyst in investment banking, M&A advisory, corporate finance, or capital advisory, with experience building investor or buyer lists on live processes
• Understand the distinction between a long list and a qualified one, and can articulate the qualification process
• Ability to craft concise, specific messages to busy investors that elicit replies
• Maintain a high pace of work without compromising quality and adhere to processes without reminders
• Exercise discretion as second nature
• Utilize AI tools daily, with clear judgment on their appropriate application to enhance work quality
