About the role

Duties

Typical duties include:

  • Conducting administrative investigations involving allegations of employee misconduct and complaints involving fraud, waste, abuse and mismanagement that are referred to FEMA by the DHS-OIG, as well as those referred from other internal or external sources.
  • Reporting timely, actionable and valuable information to decision makers within OCSO and to FEMA leadership and outside agencies as directed and may be required to present written material to and testimony in or at formal hearings, court and other legal proceedings.
  • Providing relevant training to collateral duty employees who perform management inquiries as well as general integrity training or briefings to FEMA employees and contractor personnel.
  • Conducting inspections of FEMA’s programs and operations involving disaster grants and related funds.
  • Conducting threat assessments and/or enter suspicious activity reports having a nexus to terrorism on hazards to homeland security into the FBI e-Guardian system.
