Inventory Manager

About This Role

Managing ordering and inventory for artist products like vinyl, CDs, and merchandise is the core of this role, ensuring they remain in stock on the company's website. The Associate Instock Manager will work with vendors and cross-functional partners to prevent out-of-stocks, especially during high-profile artist launches, Prime Day, and the Q4 peak season.

Responsibilities

• Issue purchase orders and decide order quantities for assigned vendors and artists
• Track inventory levels and flag out-of-stock risks early
• Find the root cause of issues like out-of-stocks, missing site offers, and supply chain disruptions, and fix them
• Send clear inventory and order updates to the hiring manager, vendor managers, marketing, and other partners
• Manage a high volume of purchase order tests and keep stakeholders informed
• Build and maintain reports on in-stock performance
• Meet deadlines and quality standards during peak periods

Requirements

• 3+ years in supply chain, inventory management, or purchasing
• Hands-on experience placing supplier orders and setting quantities
• Strong Excel required to build formulas, VLOOKUP, and reports
• Bachelor’s degree

• Retail, e-commerce, consumer goods, or entertainment product background
• Strong written and verbal communication with cross-functional teams
• Experience during peak seasons or product launches
• Comfortable using AI tools day to day

Important Details

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 6 PM
• Evening work: about twice a month
• Holiday work: expected during Q4 peak (October to January)
• Contract: 6 months (possible extension or conversion to FTE with good performance)
