About the role
We are looking to hire a dedicated and observant Interstate Maintenance/Traffic Control Technician.
To be successful in this position you should have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team. Ultimately, a top-notch Technician should demonstrate sound knowledge of state traffic regulations, as well as have exceptional observation, organizational and problem-solving skills.
We have entry level positions open. Traffic Control experience preferred.
Responsibilities: Servicing an Interstate general maintenance & incident response contract. Day to day activities include but are not limited to, driving TMAs & Pickups to perform the following tasks on the interstate:
- Remove debris
- Pothole repair
- Cutting trees
- Removing dead animals
- Litter pickup
- Working as part of a team.
- Working in harsh weather conditions.
Incident Response: Providing traffic control for emergency responders on the interstate 24/7.
- Setting up shoulder/lane closures
- Shutting down on/off ramps
- Shutting down the interstate
- Marking damage
- Cutting guardrail
On call rotation, week on, week off. Storm standby during adverse weather events.
Must be a licensed driver for at least 3 years. Must have good driving record.
