International Accounting Manager

About This Role

The International Accounting Manager works in the International Accounting & Corporate Income Tax Services (IACTS) team, part of the Global Tax Centre Europe (GTC), which is a Center of Excellence for statutory accounting, direct tax, and indirect tax services. This role focuses on statutory accounting and direct tax compliance, supporting multinational companies across more than 30 countries and ensuring full compliance with local and international regulations. You will contribute to delivering efficient, accurate, and high-quality financial reporting and tax support through tailored, client-focused solutions.

Responsibilities

• Engage with diverse multinational clients, proactively addressing financial reporting and compliance requirements within statutory accounting frameworks
• Lead and oversee the preparation and review of local statutory financial statements across multiple jurisdictions, including the conversion from IFRS or US GAAP to local GAAP
• Leverage different technology solutions and AI-enabled automation to support accurate, timely, and compliant reporting and filing processes
• Drive more efficient and consistent ways of working by implementing centralized and standardized statutory reporting solutions, leveraging Deloitte's proprietary tools and AI-powered solutions
• Lead Multi-Disciplinary Model (MDM) engagements by coordinating seamless collaboration across different Deloitte business units and service lines to deliver integrated solutions
• Build and maintain strong network relationships across the organization
• Act as a key point of contact for ad hoc local GAAP-specific queries and tax-related queries
• Provide clear guidance and review more complex technical matters
• Coach and mentor junior team members
• Collaborate with project managers to deliver high-quality accounting and tax services to our international client portfolio

Requirements

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Audit, or Tax
• Proven experience of at least 8 years in accounting and statutory reporting work, ideally within a multinational or consulting environment
• Familiarity with corporate tax principles within a statutory reporting context
• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS and practical experience with various European GAAPs
• Demonstrated understanding of corporate tax principles and the ability to identify and assess tax implications within statutory accounting
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with an ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse internal and external stakeholders across multiple countries
• Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted advisor through practical, business-oriented, and impactful recommendations
