Job Description:
An employer is seeking Internal Communications Specialist for a direct hire opportunity in Beavercreek, OH. The Internal Communications Specialist is responsible for developing and managing internal communications that drive employee engagement, support organizational initiatives, and reinforce company culture. This role serves as the primary owner of the organization's SharePoint-based intranet, creating, publishing, and maintaining content while ensuring a user-friendly and engaging employee experience. The position also acts as the Microsoft 365 subject matter expert for the communications team, leveraging tools such as SharePoint, Teams, Forms, and Power Automate to streamline communication processes and improve efficiency. In addition to written communications, the specialist supports digital signage, incident communications, and light graphic design projects. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, highly organized, comfortable learning new technologies, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize the company’s SharePoint-based intranet
- Create and distribute internal communications, announcements, and employee engagement content
- Maintain content calendars and communication plans
- Improve communication workflows through Microsoft 365 tools and automation
- Manage internal outage and incident communications
- Create and maintain content for digital signage and internal campaigns
- Train internal stakeholders on content publishing best practices
- Ensure content aligns with brand, quality, and communication standards
