Intern Project Management

About This Role

The Project Management Intern supports the execution of the project backlog for the Software Solutions and Controls product line under GE Vernova's Gas Power business, reporting to the Project Manager responsible for their assigned portfolio. In this role, the intern builds practical foundations in project management, contributing to the operational and financial outcomes of the projects under their management.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Project Manager in executing contracts, actively contributing to achieving revenue and contribution margin objectives.
• Assist in updating the project schedule, monitoring critical milestones and notifying any deviations.
• Facilitate project communication by drafting meeting minutes, status reports, and updates for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support budget management, cost tracking, billing, and accounts receivable in close coordination with the Project Manager.
• Collaborate in documenting, recording, and tracking deadlines and approvals for changes in project scope.
• Assist in preparing review meetings, pre-mortem analyses, and lessons learned, consolidating data and documenting action plans.
• Support communication with clients and contractors by preparing correspondence, presentations, and periodic reports.
• Ensure organization and traceability of technical and contractual documentation, following Quality Management System procedures.

Requirements

• Students of Engineering, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related fields (preferably from the 4th semester onwards).
• Languages: English: Intermediate to advanced level (essential) / Portuguese (desirable).
• Key competencies: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Technical tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) — Mandatory.
• Knowledge of project management tools (Smartsheet, MS Project, or similar) — Desirable.
• Familiarity with SAP — Desirable.
