About This Role
This interior design role involves managing projects from conception to completion, ensuring designs align with client agreements and contractual obligations. The position requires close collaboration with various teams and offers the opportunity for senior designers to mentor junior staff.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the design phases of assigned projects including but not limited to space planning, details and 2D & 3D
- Work closely with the Project Director and FF&E team to ensure designs are in accordance with the contractual and Client’s agreement, prior to final submission
- Work closely with Design, FF&E, and CAD teams to produce full sets of tender & construction drawings
- Check and assist in CAD/2D rendering related works if the need arises
- Ensure project assignments are completed within the given deadline
- Attend site meetings and site/factory inspection
- Be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- (For Senior level) Be able to coordinate, delegate, give feedback, and mentor subordinates regarding their work and professional development including problem solving
Requirements
- Candidate with full working rights for Thailand
- Degree/Diploma in Architectural or Interior Design or equivalent
- Sufficient years of relevant experience especially in conceptual design and detailed designing in the hospitality industries is a must
- Experienced in handling projects in all design phases
- Creativity and artistic flair
- Strong in design detailing and freehand sketching or equivalent
- Able to interpret specifications and layouts, architectural and engineering layouts
- Good knowledge of site work and progress (for senior level, up to phase 5)
- Good understanding of design (composition, planning, materials, details, furniture, and fixtures)
- Professional knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office
- Compulsory to be proficient in English and Thai – both in reading and writing
- Strong organizational skill and must be a team player
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and perform in a fast-paced environment
- Responsible and ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Highly motivated, strong communication, interpersonal, observation skills
- (For senior level) Mentor the junior / intermediate designer
