About This Role
This design role focuses on furniture and interiors, involving the creation of layouts, concepts, and technical drawings for various projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of space planning and 3D visualization, working closely with estimation and operations teams to ensure functional design solutions and smooth project execution.
Responsibilities
- Develop furniture layouts, interior design concepts, and space plans based on project requirements
- Prepare 2D drawings, technical drawings, and 3D visualizations for interior and furniture design projects
- Conduct site measurements and assess site conditions to ensure design accuracy
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and coordinate with the estimation team for quantity calculations and costing
- Coordinate with the operations and execution teams to ensure designs are implemented as per approved drawings
- Select appropriate furniture layouts, materials, finishes, and design elements based on project requirements
- Revise drawings and design layouts based on client feedback and site conditions
- Ensure design deliverables are completed within project timelines
- Maintain coordination among design, estimation, and operations teams throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Interior Design, Architecture, Furniture Design, or a related field
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in interior design, furniture design, or turnkey interior projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp
- Knowledge of 2D technical drawings, furniture layouts, and 3D visualization
- Understanding of BOQ preparation, quantity estimation, and material specifications
- Practical knowledge of site measurements and interior fit-out execution
- Good communication, coordination, problem-solving, and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple design requirements and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Nice to have:
- Experience in commercial, residential, or turnkey interior fit-out projects
- Exposure to furniture design, modular furniture, and material selection
- Experience coordinating with estimation and site execution teams
