Summary
We are seeking an experienced Workday Finance Integration Engineer to play a key role in the implementation, deployment, and continued enhancement of a global Workday Financials environment.
In this highly technical, hands-on position, you will design and develop integrations connecting Workday Financials with other finance and enterprise systems, helping create trusted data flows that support financial operations, real-time insights, and compliance automation.
You will partner closely with Finance, Accounting, IT, functional leads, and architects to translate complex business requirements into scalable integration solutions. The ideal candidate brings deep Workday Financials integration expertise and can confidently own solutions throughout the full lifecycle—from requirements gathering and design through development, testing, implementation, go-live, and ongoing support.
What You'll Do
• Serve as a technical subject matter expert for Workday Financial integrations, including Workday Studio, EIB, Web Services, APIs, and Connectors
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support integrations and data-conversion solutions across a distributed technical environment
• Build and maintain integrations between Workday Financials and external finance and enterprise applications
• Analyze and solve complex integration challenges involving security, data conversion, system architecture, and implementation approaches
• Partner with functional leads, architects, Finance, Accounting, and IT teams to understand requirements and determine appropriate technical solutions
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand existing processes, objectives, pain points, and opportunities for improvement
• Drive the design, configuration, and deployment of new Workday projects, integrations, and system enhancements
• Prepare detailed technical estimates, integration specifications, and testing plans based on functional requirements
• Participate in change management, deployment, go-live, and post-production support activities
• Develop technical procedures, system documentation, manuals, and other supporting materials
• Collaborate effectively with distributed teams and stakeholders across multiple locations and time zones
What We're Looking For
• 5+ years of hands-on Workday Finance Integration experience
• Strong expertise with Workday Studio Integrations, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Web Services, APIs, and Connectors
• Hands-on experience with Workday Web Services APIs, BIRT Reporting, Advanced Report Writer, Business Process Framework, Configurable Security, Calculated Fields, Custom Fields, and XML/XSLT
• Experience with Workday Cloud Connect technologies, including PICOF, PECI, CCW, and CCB
• Experience working with Workday PRISM Analytics and Accounting Center
• Strong understanding of the Workday Financials data model, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience integrating Workday with third-party platforms and external enterprise applications
• Strong understanding of integration challenges involving security, data conversion, and different implementation approaches
• Demonstrated ability to deliver end-to-end Workday integration solutions encompassing requirements gathering, design, development, testing, implementation, and post-go-live support
• Experience supporting large-scale Workday Financials implementations or similarly complex enterprise IT engagements
• Strong understanding of all phases of the application development lifecycle
• Excellent analytical, organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment while independently managing complex technical work
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred
