About This Role
As an Insurance Tax Manager, you will play a pivotal role in guiding clients through the complexities of tax planning, compliance, and strategy within our Tax practice. You will be instrumental in helping businesses navigate intricate tax regulations and optimize their tax positions. As a Manager, you will lead teams and manage client accounts, focusing on strategic planning and mentoring junior staff.
Responsibilities
- Lead tax compliance workstreams and manage client expectations effectively
- Guide teams in the preparation and filing of tax returns for insurance sector clients
- Utilize analytical skills to review and analyze financial data for tax compliance
- Develop and implement corporate tax planning strategies to optimize client tax positions
- Monitor and analyze financial trends to identify opportunities for tax savings
- Draft and review tax documents to support regulatory compliance and submissions
- Coach and mentor team members to enhance their skills and performance
- Build and maintain relationships with clients to address tax-related inquiries and issues
- Embrace technology and innovation to improve tax compliance processes and deliverables
- Confirm adherence to professional and technical standards in all tax-related activities
Requirements
- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 4 years of experience
- At least one of the following: Certified Public Accountant, Member of the Bar or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials
- Excelling in corporate tax planning and compliance
- Demonstrating proficiency in drafting and preparing tax documents
- Utilizing analytical thinking for financial statement analysis
- Embracing change and innovation in tax services
- Managing projects with strategic planning and execution
- Mentoring and coaching team members for performance improvement
