Insurance Agent

About This Role

An Insurance Agent who is outgoing and a seasoned salesperson will enjoy building relationships, networking, and meeting new people. This role involves generating new business and supporting clients with their insurance needs as part of an independent agency.

Responsibilities

• Establish new relationships with potential clients and sign them up for insurance
• Cold call over the phone and email to offer and sell insurance
• Network at local Chamber mixers and other professional organizations/associations
• Fill out appropriate forms and input them into the software system once a product is sold
• Cultivate relationships and cross-sell additional lines of insurance

Requirements

• One year of sales experience in the insurance industry
• Current and valid P&C Insurance License
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Articulate and professional voice in person and on the phone
• Professional wardrobe
• Self-starter, driven, can manage rejection well
• Confident, energetic, enthusiastic with a sense of humor
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Outlook
• Familiar with sales software
• Patient, respectful, reliable, trustworthy, friendly, supportive, articulate, kind, ethical, and honest

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Infusionsoft

Important Details

• Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:30 am – 5:30 pm; occasional early morning, evening, and Saturday meetings for networking or community events
