About This Role

This Instructional Coach position at a public charter school focuses on improving academic outcomes for scholars, ensuring significant growth each school year. The role involves observing teachers, providing feedback, managing professional development, and contributing to an achievement-oriented school culture.

Responsibilities

• Observe teachers and provide feedback
• Manage the ADEPT process
• Hold weekly professional development meetings for teachers
• Ensure scholars' academic progress results in at least 1.3 years growth each school year
• Contribute to creating the school’s achievement-oriented culture
• Perform other duties as required to achieve the school’s mission

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• South Carolina teaching certification in a relevant elementary teaching field
• Proven track-record of achievement as a teacher
• Mastery of and enthusiasm for teaching academic subjects
• Evidence of self-motivation and willingness to be a team player
• Work hard to achieve the school’s mission
• Improve the minds and lives of scholars in and out of the classroom
• Communicate clearly and effectively in both oral and written language
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with a variety of people
• Engage families and the larger community in the life of the school
